Firstly, it seemed like another blue thermal day which would be terribly hot. But now it seems like Australian like weather arrived to the Czech Republic! Many cumuluses appeared at sudden and pilots report awesome 3m/s climbs and heights around 2600m QNH!

LX is first glider from Club class which landed this afternoon.
Alena Netušilová landed first from today’s discipline. Most pilots from 18m class are at home and rest of them are heading the airfield.
6 gliders from club class landed already so 5 of them will have second start and the last one from Australia has some technical problems.
No pilots landed and we can start with second group of Club class
Last one from 18m’s is away and we continue with standard class immediately.

We are pleasantly surprised by such a high interest in WWGC 2017. Because of that we need to do a quick website maintenance since 19:00 for approx. 2 hours. Thank you for your patience.
All gliders finished their discipline except one from standard class.
Monika Bobula from Poland is last pilot on the track. She has only 15 km to the end of today’s discipline.
Except cont. no. I which outlanded, we have only two gliders in the air – Y and BZ. Rest of pilots are already on the airfield.
Club class is heading home, few gliders from Standard Class are already home. Let’s see how it was today!

It is a pretty nice race today! If you check satellite images, there were many ways how to reach the second area and now all gliders have met in there. Quite impressive altitudes today! They will be heading home in few minutes.

Today’s final situation: Club class: 16 at home, 7 outlanded Standard class: 13 outlanded 18m class: 7 at home, 2 outlanded, 2 at home without completed task
Joanna Biedermann from 18m class is a last pilot in the air.
None of them made it to the Zbraslavice today.
Only 7 gliders are still on the track – 2 from club, 3 from standard and 2 from 18 m class.
15 gliders from club class landed yet on the airfield and 2 outlanded.
Sarah Arnold (club class) landed on the airfield and annouced that she completed task.
Few minutes ago two pilots from Club class land on the airfield and it’s cont. no. 8M and VR.
All 23 club class competitors are still on the track. Not too lucky are pilots from Standard’s – 5 outlands. 18 m class has 3 gliders on the airfield, 1 outland and 7 in the air.
One competitor from Hungary and two from germany had to outland and two from Czech republic are on the airfield yet.
Czech competitor Jana Trešlová had to start for second time because of technical problem. Now she is in the air again.
Launches for standard class are postponed to 13:10. High layer of clouds is coming, so it won’t be that easy…
All classes got the task B. Sniffer announced 1.5m/s lift, and half of the club class is in the air already! But the meteorologist says it won’t be easy thanks to some high clouds going towards us.

Briefing for pilots will be at 10:00. RWY 33, gridding for all classes 9:00-11:00 and fist expected launch at 12:00.
